Course Overview
This course will serve as a jumping off point into web development. We will discuss the technologies, the fundamental languages and design principles behind modern web development. The teachings from this course will be used for a practical project where we combine what we learned to build and discuss deploying a website.

Course Outline
You begin your journey into web development here! In this module, we will discuss the technologies, processes and other considerations required to build a website.
Module 1: Introduction to HTML5
HTML is the fundamental techniques used to define the structure of a webpage. HTML is used to specify whether your web content should be recognized as a paragraph, list, heading, link, image, multimedia player, form, or one of many other available elements or even a new element that you define. In this module, we will familiarize ourselves with the syntax and start marking up our capstone project.
Module 2: Introduction to CSS3
CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is a declarative language that controls how webpages look in the browser. The browser applies CSS style declarations to selected elements to display them properly. A style declaration contains the properties and their values, which determine how a webpage looks. In this module we will add life to our HTML markup by styling it with CSS.
Module 3: Interactivity with JavaScript
This module will introduce you to the basics of the JavaScript language. JavaScript is a cross-platform, object-oriented scripting language used to make webpages interactive. We will add interactivity to our project.
Module 4: Capstone Project
Our capstone project will take everything we learnt and combine it to produce the “Explore Trinidad & Tobago” Website.
Module 5: Deploying your website.
Our final topic is we will discuss methods and steps for deploying your website.
