This workshop is designed to build on the Taxation 101 workshop and create a deeper awareness on major tax issues inherent in business and applicable to persons exercising employment. The workshop expands on fundamental tax concepts and also highlights some specific areas that will give participants a deeper understanding of taxation as it relates to their business, employment and general undertakings.
At the end of the workshop participants will participate in computing income tax and corporation tax computations designed to test their understanding of the key concepts and to apply these concepts practically to situations.
The Advanced Taxation Workshop will provide participants with an understanding of their tax obligations and be able to apply the various concepts and principles in a practical setting be better able to address any scenario that impacts their business and personal lives.
At the end of this workshop participants should be able to idnetify and apply fundamental concepts of Trinidad and Tobago tax law, have a greater awareness for tax compliance and some of the salient issues that typically arise, apply critical thinking to resolve tax issues and utilise the tools available to structure business and affairs in a tax efficient manner.
