Overview

The MPMM is designed to give students an in-depth understanding of the key elements and trends in the global maritime and port management industry.

Learning Outcomes

The MPMM programme prepares candidates to:

  • Gain an understanding and appreciation of the structure and functioning of the global Port and Maritime business
  • Develop management and leadership competencies to compete and lead in the global Port and maritime industry
  • Build specialized skills and capabilities, tools and analytical models which can be applied to effectively operate the global Port and Maritime industry

Entry Requirements

Academic Entry

A first degree with Honours in Maritime, Engineering, Science, Business or Management related area of study from an accredited university and three (3) years’ working experience.

Or

A Class 1 Master Mariner or Chief Engineer Certificate of Competence with more than three (3) years’ maritime industrial experience.

Mature Entry

Applicants who do not possess an undergraduate degree, but have accumulated at least eight (8) years’ supervisory or managerial experience in the port and maritime industry may be eligible through the mature entry route.
Additionally, applicants are required to be computer literate (i.e. Microsoft Office Proficient and Internet Savvy)
