Akosua Edwards

Akosua Dardaine Edwards lectures on the International Master of Business Administration Programme at the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business lecturing in Financial Entrepreneurial Ventures.

Akosua is a qualified management accountant (ACMA) and a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (FCCA). She possesses an MBA from London South Bank University specialising in entrepreneurship and small business development.
Mrs Edwards is a keen advocate of assisting women entrepreneurs as evidenced by her work in Account3 Women’s Consultancy Services UK Limited; the project has gained numerous accolades including the PROWESS Flagship Award for best practice. Mrs Edwards is also the co founder of the Enabling Enterprise Project. The Project aims are to assist women and young adults to start and grow businesses in Trinidad and Tobago.
She has been invited to speak at conferences world-wide on women entrepreneurs, their needs and lessons learned including the World Association of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (WASME) in Bucharest Romania, the International Council of Small Business (ICSB) Conference in Turku, Finland, the International Small Business Association in Blackpool, UK and the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Conference in Berlin and various others.

Mrs. Edwards has also been selected as the Caribbean’s representative of the World Network of Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs (WNYLE), this organisation is based in Switzerland whose aims include the contribution to the creation of young leaders and entrepreneurs in developing countries.
