In an effort to complement the guidance given by parents, teachers and university professors, improving goal setting skills promises to continue providing young people with the tools they need to address the challenges that they will face. For students about to enter the working world and for those who already have some experience, success may mean several different things. However, whatever success means to them, it always starts with effective goal setting, which is, knowing where they want to go, identifying the resources they need and devising a plan to get there. When people know where they want to go, they will always have a better chance of getting there.
At the start of any career, there will be an on-going string of goals to accomplish, new skills to acquire, and eventually new and better jobs as these young adults move forward in their lives. It is not only important that they continue setting goals throughout this process; it's actually the goals that make the process happen in the first place. Goal setting is a skill that once acquired can provide the mental and emotional support one needs to take action and persist through oncoming obstacles and barriers. In this highly interactive session, participants will learn how to set goals and execute with greater focus to get what they want out of life. They will have more confidence in their ability to meet the challenges in front of them as well as a higher level of personal and professional growth.
