Strategic Planning For Managers

Strategy explains how an organisation faced with competition will differentiate itself and achieve superior performance. Leaders today have been forced to play by a new set of rules. They are now required be more flexible and faster in responding to competitive and market changes.

Organisations must therefore nurture many competencies along their value chain in an effort to offer something that is unique to their customers. They must benchmark continuously to achieve best practice, they must outsource aggressively to gain efficiencies and take the appropriate action to align employee development with organisational goals. The goal is not to just survive but to maximise organisational capability.
