Research Methodology - Oct 4th 2005 The workshop addresses methods of behavioral research focusing on the different stages that are essential in the process of obtaining results for decision-making purposes. In particular, these methods and related tools are examined in the context of research problems and questions that arise in various fields akin to the social sciences. The workshop strives to ensure that participants develop a critical sensibility as they undertake research at the various stages. In addition, it seeks to furnish participants with the formal technical wisdom underlying research designs that are deemed to be efficient.

Press Release - Free Tertiary Education In the 2005/2006 National Budget presentation, The Nation's Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, The Hon. Patrick Manning spoke extensively about continuous development of tertiary education, and is quoted as saying, "I am therefore pleased to announce, Mr. Speaker, that with effect from January 1, 2006, all nationals of Trinidad and Tobago enrolled at public tertiary institutions, namely UWI, UTT, COSTATT and other institutions where the Government sponsors students, will be eligible for free tuition, that is free public tertiary education."
The Institute of Business (IOB) is presently awaiting word from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Tertiary Education as to how this policy will be implemented, how it would affect our current students and the implications for future students.
