Release of Second Quarter "Corporate Confidence Index" 2005

April 25th 2005

Key Findings:
  • In this quarter, a weakening in executives' confidence was recorded in five dimensions of the CCI: Financial Performance, Financial Outlook, Investment Outlook, Local Economic Outlook and Global Economic Outlook.
  • 39% of Executives said they would start recruiting over the 6-month horizon and 41% in the 12-month outlook.
  • Executives appeared slightly less optimistic about the global economy than last quarter.
