The Supervisory Referral Process

There is a growing need for human support systems in the workplace as employees are constantly confronted with personal and/or job related problems that impact negatively on their job performance in the workplace.

It is within this context that the Employee Management Assistance Programme (EMAP) Services, Consulting Unit will be hosting a Training Workshop on “The Supervisory Referral Process”.

The training workshop is designed to provide organisational leaders (HR practitioners, EAP professionals, managers and supervisors) with the tools necessary to identify and approach the employee in need of assistance; and to refer appropriately to the most fitting resource.

In addition, participants will receive skills training in effectively dealing with crisis situations in the workplace such as; workplace violence, natural disasters and on the job accidents/death to name a few.

The workshop will be held on July 16th, 2008 from 9.00am to 4.00pm and will be facilitated by Mrs. Nan Gosine-Ramgoolam who is currently an HR Consultant and Academic Facilitator at the Business School.
