Corporate Confidence Index

July 1st - Release of third quarter Corporate Confidence Index.

Key Findings

- In this quarter, a strengthening in executives' confidence was recorded in five dimensions of the CCI - Financial Performance; Financial Outlook; Investment Outlook; Employment Outlook and Local Economic Outlook.

- 60% of Executives indicated that they would start recruiting over the 6-month horizon and 48% in the 12-month horizon.

Publication of Report

June 25 - Publication of Report entitled" The Millennium Development Goals and the Private Sector: The Caribbean Business Experience".

This was a collaborative effort between the IOB and the UNDP (Guyana).
