Why a Lok Jack GSB MBA?
All MBA programs are based on the premise that people can be taught to manage situations more effectively. The EMBA Programme at the Lok Jack GSB is a graduate programme with a difference. The programme is designed to accommodate a variety of student backgrounds and needs such as the liberal arts graduate who desires a business career, the business major who recognizes the growing importance of the global economy, the working professional who could benefit from part-time, continuing education in international and management studies, and the individual looking for a m id-career change.
The EMBA is structured with a strong career orientation, providing theoretical foundations and functional skills, but moving beyond the traditional MBA by integrating the international dimension of business into the programme. Students are then equipped to function effectively in the complex international business environment of the contemporary world.
The MBA Programme has three goals:

- To provide an academically rigorous and pragmatic programme in international business management.
- To provide students with the broader skills to recognize the nature, direction and timing of change in the international environment, and to respond to those changes in a manner which fosters international understanding.
Beyond these broad goals, the EMBA Programme recognizes the needs of employers from both the corporate and public sectors, with the following more specific objectives:
- To provide graduates with the functional and cross-cultural skills to become effective managers of multinational enterprises and institutions.
