1. What are the costs of the programmes?
- EMBA - $55,000.00 per year.
- IMBA - $50,000.00 per year.
- MHRM- $46,000.00 per year.
- Marketing $44,000.00 per year.
- PGDMIS- $40,000.00 for the year.
2. What is the duration of each programme?
- EMBA -Two and a half years.
- IMBA - Two and a half years.
- MHRM- Two and a half Years.
- Marketing - Two Years.
- PGDMIS- One Year.
3. What is the Schedule like?
- EMBA- Generally scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays including Public Holidays. You will be required to attend all-day sessions for workshops and elective courses (from 8:30am to 5:30pm).
- IMBA- Generally scheduled on Evenings and Weekends, including Public Holidays. You will be required to attend all-day sessions for workshops and elective courses periodically.
- MHRM- Generally scheduled on 2 evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. You will be required to attend all-day sessions for workshops and elective courses periodically.
- Marketing- Generally scheduled on weekdays from 5:30pm to 8:30pm and on weekends.
- PGDMIS- Generally scheduled on weekdays from 5:30pm to 8:30pm and on weekends.
4. Are the academic programmes Gate Funded?
- All our programmes are Gate funded for 50 % for all persons who are Trinidad and Tobago Nationals.
5. Are Text Books provided?
- Text Books are provided for all core courses of the EMBA and IMBA programmes (electives excluded). Texts are not provided for the MHRM, MSc. in Marketing and MIS programmes.
6. What are the Opening Hours of the GSB?
- 8:30am to 8:30p.m.
7. From where is faculty drawn?
- Faculty is recruited from both industry and academia. The faculty is largely adjunct and includes UWI lecturers, International faculty and those from industry.
8. When are examinations usually held?
- Examinations are usually held at the end of each Trimester (the months of April, August and December.
9. What is required for successful completion of the programmes?
- In order to be awarded the degree, students must complete all examinable, non-examinable and not for credit courses, including a language offered in the respective programmes and the practicum (except in the case of the PGDMIS).
10. What is the practicum?
- It is a six month long supervised project that seeks to synthesize the learning acquired throughout the programme. Students are expected to identify a business problem or opportunity and suggest solutions/strategies that are implementable.
11. What are the assessment parameters?
- The University of the West Indies examination regulations applies as follows: 40% is allotted to coursework 60% is allotted to the final examination which together constitutes the overall total of 100%. Students are required to pass both components to successfully complete the course.
12. What is the maximum time allowed for completion of the programme?
- Five years from the start date.
13. Are there attendance requirements?
- An 80% attendance is required for all examinable courses and 100% attendance is required for workshops and non credit courses.
14. Are all the programmes accredited?
- The MBA degrees (EMBA and IMBA) are accredited by the Association of MBAs based in the UK.
15. When are the programmes offered?
- All programmes commence in September. Based on demand there may be other intakes during the year. These intakes are usually in the months of January or April.
16. How long after I apply would I find out if I have been accepted?
- Within approximately four months of applying.
17. Do I have to pay all the fees up front or is there a payment plan in place?

Fees for the academic year are payable prior to the start of classes. In the case of the Masters programmes, payment will therefore be in two parts (at the start of each year) and in the case of the PGDMIS, all fees are payable up front as this is a one year programme.
- Full payment of tuition and fees is required upon registration for all programmes. Students who do not submit full payment are not registered. Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business does not offer an installment or deferred-payment plan.
- Students applying for the programmes that qualify for government funding are required on registration to walk with the required documentation to complete the Government Assisted Tertiary Education (GATE) form. Students who fail to do so will not be registered.
- Students can pay with cash (limited to $5,000.00), personal cheques (long term programme only), certified cheques or Linx.
- Students whose cheques are returned unpaid by the bank may not use personal cheques for payments at the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business for one year.
- Cheques will not be accepted from students who have previously stopped payment on cheques. Stopping payment on cheques is not a valid method of withdrawing from classes.
- Financial delinquency. Students registering for courses must be in good financial standing with the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business. Any outstanding balance has to be cleared before a student is allowed to register or receive an official transcript or be assigned a Practicum advisor. Degree and certificate candidates must be in good financial standing with the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business to graduate. The Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business reserves the right to withdraw students from their classes in cases of financial delinquency. In such instances, students are responsible for all tuition and fees
